Flashback. It's weird looking back and remembering,
How everything used to be based off of sheer infatuation.
Running around in circles trying to please them,
Trying to prove your all to someone who would never care.
It's tiring trying to deal with such unrequited love,
Merely hassle right from the start.
Their mood affects yours so drastically and yet still,
You never receive any form of care in return.
Late night fantasies about that one little crush,
Although at the time it always seems like you couldn't be more in love.
And of course, so many wasted wishes,
Not one of them could ever come true for you.
Infatuations make you do stupid things,
You change your interests and appearance just to appeal to someone else.
At least when you're in love you stay true to you,
And that's the most important thing you could ever do.
When you find true love, you'll stop trying to win their heart,
And often you'll just accept whichever fate.
And if they truly love you too, they'll accept you.
High in the sky. Clouds in the sky.
Do you deliberately tease us and taunt us
By shaping yourself in images
That so perfectly reflect our very own emotions.
Or are you merely mystical patterns of chance?
